As Admissions Director at the International Community School of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Jess has experienced the excitement and challenges of an ever-changing school. Over her 12 years at ICS, the school has more than doubled in size, as the country develops and the reputation of the school has kept pace. She enjoys sharing the vision of being the "best school with Africa" with prospective families, as ICS moves forward on the journey to being both a highly effective and learning progressive school. Prior to working at ICS, Jess was an Admissions Associate at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco, CA, USA. Her university degree in Environmental Studies often seems incongruous with her position in admissions, but she values the similarities in the skills needed, including understanding systems, setting up processes and procedures, and being able to communicate with clarity.
